Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The best way to upgrade your equipment in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This allows you to upgrade your gear without having rely on expensive drops or trades. This article will show you how to upgrade your items efficiently.
Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components are the items that improve your armor and weapons better. They can be found by destroying enemies, purchasing them from karma vendors or finding them in items-spheres. You can also get them from equipment that contains the components, or by utilizing high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed by removing them from an item.
Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item however, they can also be used for other reasons. They can be stacked in order to boost the level or experience gained from upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can also be made to give additional bonuses. A glyph that has been crafted can increase the upgrade chances of its target, and boost upgrades increase the attack or defense capabilities of the weapon.
Selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will let you bind it to an item. This will display the upgrade components that the item can be updated. You can also use the workbench when selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components are collected.
Each component has its own experience multiplier that affects how much more experience an item will gain when it is upgraded by that component. For instance, organic components have a a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is therefore best to upgrade with organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier of the next rank of the weapon or gear, then move to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the experience multiplier every item also has the maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of upgrades available is determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. For instance, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon with tier 10. The most common weapon upgrade is a gun of tier 6 and an armor upgrade for tier 5.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects which all have the same bonus. item upgrader can be upgraded at the least once. The upgrade boosts the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. When you first upgrade an item, its primary stat will be +1. In subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be boosted a bit more (for example, +1 to 12+/13+/14+), and each time you upgrade the item it will have one of its additional stats is boosted randomly.
Upgrades can also boost the damage base of a weapon. This can be crucial for certain types of weapons. However, weapons are not upgraded to a higher defense level than their normal base. It is possible to increase value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they may not always be superior to a higher-level Runeword.
If an item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus, it can be rerolled once and its guarantee will be reset to zero. Rerolling costs the same amount of power dice as bringing an item, but the upgraded item will come with various bonuses. Upgrading can be done through the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll need a power die of each kind (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These are available at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collector, and can be purchased with Gold. The NPC will also offer an additional reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled one time using the same materials and components as the first item.
Rerolling
If a player has enough tokens for rerolling, they can roll any item they've accumulated during the game. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced with the same level in another set. Reroll tokens can be purchased at the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They are non-refundable. The new upgraded item will still have the extra bonuses of the first however, its stats will be different as well.
Players can change the identification of their equipment as well as rerolling it by interacting with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identity from an armored weapon to a weapon, or vice versa, while keeping its basic stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that have the gear in question.
The player can also upgrade the item level for any equipment equipped. This can be done by interacting with an upgrader NPC, and then obtaining upgrade items. This will cost a certain amount of crests and Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and type. For weapons, each step up will add 5percent to the damage.
An upgrade can boost its power however it can reduce its effectiveness. Therefore, it is important to find a balance between the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading at all and some will require to be upgraded in order to realize their potential. For instance an individual player may want to upgrade a piece of breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to see what it can be.
The primary reason people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to get a specific weapon or character that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming to obtain and the RNG does not always work in a positive way. The only alternatives are to spend money or grind a lot. Rerolling is very popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
When upgrading an item, you can choose to increase the level of the weapon or armor. But, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe that this feature was intended to increase the value of rare and expensive items. However, since most items are replaced quite quickly, and can only be leveled up one level, you'll typically replace it before it gets too old. It's also not worth upgrading items using gem sockets since the power of the gemstone will outweigh any increase in ilvl.
You will be presented with a small box when you click on the upgrade option on an item. It will display the item's template, the Crest, as well as the cost of Valorstone to increase the item level. Armor and weapons have different costs, with the latter usually being more expensive. The upgrade template outlines the statistics that will be added to the upgraded item. It it also lists the current ilvl.
The crest and Valorstone costs are calculated based on the item's current ilvl as well as the upgrade template. In addition the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be decreased by the upgrade template's lvl decrease percentage. For instance the weapon that has an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its count by 8-8 percent.
The item will be upgraded to other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damage, and block, parry and dodge rating in addition to the base level. These upgrades are also based on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can check the amount of damage or defense an item will suffer after being leveled up. This is listed below the cost as well as the upgrade percentages. All weapons and armor, except practice equipment, gain these stats upon leveling up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can command a much higher price than an unupp'd version. The same is true for other armor pieces like circlets and tiaras.
